On Target
December 22nd, 2009
The next Court Gentry book will be called "On Target", and not "Killer of Men", as reported earlier. The publisher determined this to be a stronger title for the story.
From the first draft of the cover copy-
On Target
A Gray Man Thriller
October 2010
Killing is his business.
But his business is about to get personal.
Four years ago, Court Gentry was betrayed by his masters in the CIA. To survive, he was forced to eliminate his own brothers in arms. Now, as a master assassin known as the Gray Man, he makes his living by killing others. But when an old comrade he thought dead returns to haunt him, his own life is put in the crosshairs.
Court’s former team leader wants him to complete his current mission, with one crucial update to his orders. Now, instead of a difficult assassination, the job will entail a near impossible kidnapping—and Court must return his quarry to the very CIA team that turned on him.
So with his treacherous employers on one side, his blackmailing former friends on the other, and a doomed mission ahead, Court Gentry would kill to get out of this one alive…

John Tracy: If the next is half as good as the first,it will be an instant winner. Keep up the good work, there are a few of us "oldtimers" that are able to relate to this story line. Been there, done that!
Keith Gregory: Just finised "The Gray Man", it was excellent. I can't wait for the new book to come out.
Char: I just finished reading The Gray Man as well. I'm only disappointed because I have to wait to read more from this author. I was sure that I'd find more online! Mark Greaney...you've just been added to a short list of authors that won't be able to publish fast enough to suit me. I read this book in a day and a half... couldn't put it down. Right up there with Thomas Perry and Lee Child...I'll be looking forward to everything you put on paper. Thanks for a great read!
Fred: Loved The Gray Man. Please keep on writing.
T.G. Thomas: Loved the book. Please keep me on your email list and I can't wait until "On Target" comes out!
Gerry Goldberg: "Gray Man" was a great book. I hope to see more when "On Target" is released!
